Sikh Heritage Month celebrates the amazing accomplishments of Sikh Canadians! It is being recognized in Canada in April. And guess what this month is, April!
I think that the most important and most informational video that I watched was about a girl whose family immigrated to Canada and then set up a life in British Columbia. It also explains how her family fought against all of the racism and discrimination.
We thought it was right to talk to you and to raise awareness about Sikh Heritage month, but we didn’t want to get into too much detail. This is only because none of us are Sikh. We would also like to acknowledge that Canada is the first country to celebrate and recognize Sikh heritage month, starting in 2013.
